Our Story
A century of faith.
A future of promise.
Founded September 14, 1926, in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Bishop J. M. Earley, The House of God Which is the Church of the Living God was established through faith, obedience, and a divine calling to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Led and empowered by the Holy Ghost, Bishop Earley traveled from place to place preaching the Word of God, winning souls for Christ, and establishing a spiritual foundation upon which generations of believers would continue to build.
From its humble beginnings in Cincinnati, the organization has grown and branched into numerous states, establishing congregations and ministries committed to carrying forward the work of the Kingdom of God. For a century, The House of God has remained dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel, strengthening families and communities, developing Christian leaders, and encouraging believers to live lives rooted in faith, holiness, love, and service.
Today, The House of God has churches in Ohio, South Carolina, and Florida. Although our congregations may worship in different locations, we remain one body in Christ, united in faith and purpose as we fulfill the work of the Lord together.
As we celebrate 100 years of ministry, we honor the vision and sacrifice of those who came before us, celebrate what God is doing in the present, and look faithfully toward the future. Guided by the Holy Ghost and grounded in the Word of God, we remain steadfast in our mission to reach souls, make disciples, and continue building the Kingdom of God for generations to come.
